Harcourt Butler Technical University, invites Online application for admission to 1st year B.Tech and MCA programmes 2018-2019
Guidelines-cum-Information for Admission to First Year B.Tech.Programmes
- Applications for admission to B. Tech. Programme at HBTU, Kanpur for the session 2018-19 are to be submitted On-Line only. Candidates are required to fill the online Application Form through the website: hbtuadmission.nic.in
- Registration & online fee payment can be done from June 20, 2018 to June 30, 2018 through the website www.hbtuadmission.nic.in.
- Candidates are advised to read these guidelines carefully, check their eligibility and applicable reservation category etc. before filling and submitting the online registration form.
- The admission is open to JEE(Main) – 2018 qualified candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (Class 12th) from any Institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P. subject to the eligibility conditions given in the guidelines. If the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of verification of the documents. Candidates whose parents are defence personnel settled or posted in UP on the entrance date of JEE (Main)-2018 or whose parents are officers or employees of All India Services belonging to UP Cadre must submit relevant certificates
- The Registration fee of Rs.2,000/- (non-refundable) and the part admission fee (Seat Retain fee) of Rs.20,000/- (General/OBC) and Rs.12,000/- (SC/ST) are to be paid online only. If a candidate is admitted, seat retain fee would be adjusted towards the University admission fee.
Schedule of Spot Counseling for any vacant seats after Three Rounds of Online Counseling of HBTU Kanpur:
- a) Display of the vacant seats : 5 th August 2018
- b) Registration & fee payment for spot counseling : 7 – 9, August 2018.
- c) Counseling, document verification : 10 -11, August 2018.
- d) Display of results : 12th August, 2018.
- e) Reporting & Fee deposition in the University : 14th August 2018.

General Guidelines cum Information for Admission to M.C.A. Programme
- Applications for admission to First Year, MCA Programme at HBTU Kanpur for Session 2018-19 are to be submitted On-Line only. Candidates are required to fill the Application Form On-Line through the website: www.hbtuadmission.nic.in.
- On-Line application form through the website: www.hbtuadmission.nic.in can be submitted from June 20, 2018 to June 30, 2018.
- The admission is open to the NIMCET- 2018 appeared and qualified candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P subject to the eligibility conditions given in this Information Brochure. If the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) at the time of verification of the document. Candidates whose parents are Defence Personnel settled or posted in U.P. on the entrance date, NIMCET- 2018 or whose parents are officers or employees of All India Services belonging to U.P. Cadre must submit relevant certificates (See Details of Admission and Eligibility Criteria for M.C.A. Programme Category Definitions 4.5).
- The Registration fee of Rs.2000/- (non-refundable) is to be paid online as per the details provided on admission website: www.hbtuadmission.nic.in in order to participate in the Counselling process. A candidate needs further to pay a Seat Retain fee of Rs.20,000=00 (for General and OBC) or Rs.12000=00 (for SC/ST) after seat allotment .This amount of Rs.20,000=00 or Rs. 12,000=00 would be adjusted towards the University admission fee
