CAD-445: In order to promote and encourage meritorious students to pursue Post Graduate stories in Physical Science. Chemical Science. Biological Sconce, Mathematical Science. Earth and Geological Science, Computer Science and Biotechnology/Bioinformatics Govt of Odisha have introduced a scholarship programme under the aegis of the State Council on Science and Technology. Science and Technology Departnent, Odisha.
- Eligibility:
(i) Applicant for the scholarship should be a permanent resident or domicle of Odisha.
(ii) Applicant who has passed the regular full time Bachelor’s Degree Examination with first class Honors or its equivalent from an university/College/Institute recognized by Government, in any branch of Physical Science. Chemical Science. Mathematical Science. Earth & Geological Science. Computer Science and Biological Science including Biotechnology- Bio-Informatics is eligible to apply for the scholarship. The candidate should be In the 1st year of the concerned P.G. regular course for the session 2019-21.
(iii) The applicant must be pursing two years full time/regular mode of Post-Graduation studies in any branch of Physical Science, Chemical Science. Mathematical Science. Earth & Geological Science, Computer Science and Biological Science including Biotechnology/Bio-Informatics in any Government University/ College/Institution including Government aided and Autonomous colleges.
(iv) The scholarship will be the single scholarship which she/he can avail during the Post-Graduate course. Scholarships not admissible for a candidate who is in receipt of any other financial assistance from any other source.
(v) Applicants admitted to self-financing Post Graduate programs are not eligible. - Number of Scholarships: Total number of Scholarship is 232 (Two hundred thirty-two).
- Amount and tenure of P.G Scholarship: Rs. 2000/- (Two thou¬sand) per month for a period of two years or till completion of Post Graduate studies, which over is earlier.
- Selection Procedure: (a) For selection. there shall be a written test comprising of (a) subjects (60%) from Physical Science. Chemical Science. Mathematical Science. Earth & Geological Science. Computer Science. Biological Science including Biotechnology. (b) English comprehension skill (20%) and Reasoning Analytical Aptitude (20%). (c) The written test shall be of 2 hours duration. There will be total 60 questions comprising of 36 from subjects. 12 from English Comprehension skill and 12 from reasoning/analytical aptitudes. Each question shall carry 4 (four) marks. One (1) mark would be deducted for each wrong answer. (d) The criterion for awarding this scholarship shall be strictly on the merit assessed through the written test.
- How to apply: (a) Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed appli¬cation form (Appendix-1 to be downloaded by applicant from the website http://www.iomaorissa.ac.in/ or portal of SAT Deptt, Govt of Odisha). The filled in applications need reach the Director. Institute of Mathematics and applications, Bhubaneswar-751029 by registered post or speed post (not by courier) at the latest by 25.11.2019.(b) Documents to be attached with the application form:- (I) Two passport size self-attested photographs, (i) Permanent Res¬idential Certificate/ Domicile Certificate from the competent authority. (ii) Self-altested copy of the HSC or equivalent certificate as an evidence of date of Birth. (iv) Self-attested copy of pass certificate and mark sheet of Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, (v) Certificate from the Head of the Institution showing bonafide of studentship in Post Graduate studies. (vi) Two self-addressed unstamped envelope.
- Date of Written Test: The written test wiIl held on 05.01.2020 from 2 P.M.-4 P.M. at different Examination Centers
