NOTICE
A walk-in interview will be held at the School of Education Technology, Jupiter Building, Jadavpur University, for the recruitment for the following project-linked posts related to a project entitled “Cosmic Quest”. The project will be executed in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. All posts are purely temporary and their duration is indicated below.
I. Resource Person (Visualizer I Creative Director) for a TV serial for the Science Channel – 1 post Salary: 50,000 per month(consolidated) Duration: 2 yearsEssential Qualifications: 1.Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma from a reputed design institute like NID 2. Minimum 15 years work experience Desirable Qualifications: 1.Master’s Degree/Diploma from a reputed design institute like NID 2.Proven experience in creative design of visual content related to science education through entertainment 3. Expertise in creative direction, including research, creation of shooting scripts and story boards
II. Project Manager- 1 post
Salary: 40,000 per month(consolidated)
Duration: 2 years
Essential Qualifications:1. M.E/M.Tech in any discipline 2. Minimum 12 years research/industrial experience
Desirable Qualifications: 1. Experience in Project Planning, Execution and Co-ordination 2.Experience in designing Web based applications and Multimedia Systems 3. Good communication and interpersonal skills
III. Lead(Animation and Visual Effects) – 1 post
Emoluments: Rs 30,000 (consolidated) per episode for 26 episodes over 2 years Duration: 2 years
Essential Qualifications: 1.Graduate with minimum 7-8 years of professional experience in Animation and Visual Effects 2.At least 3 years experience in a lead role, preferably for the production of an animation movie
Desirable Qualifications: 1.Good understanding of animation principles 2.Proficient in creating high quality 3D animations and VFX using 3DMAX, Maya, Adobe After Effects or equivalent tools 3.Ability to lead a team of 3 to 4 animators, including planning, organizing and prioritizing the team’s work in the context of given timelines and quality requirements
IV. Graphics & Animation Designer – 2 posts
Salary: Rs 28,000/- per month (consolidated)
Duration: 2 years
Essential Qualification: 1. Master in Multimedia Development/ M.E./ M.Tech or equivalent 2. Minimum 3 years academic, research or industrial experience
Desirable Qualifications: 1 Experience in User Interface Design, JAVA/PHP/JSP, HTML 2. Experience in design and development of graphics & animations, preferably related to science & technology education
V. Multimedia Technician- 4 posts
Salary: Rs 20,000/- per month (consolidated)
Duration: 2 years
Essential Qualification: 1.Graduate in any discipline 2.Minimum 5 years working experience in Multimedia Technology.
Desirable Qualifications: 1.Experience in 3D Modeling, development of animations or creation of videos related to science and technology 2.Proficient working skills in one or more of the following software tools:
i) 3D Max, ii) Flash / Animate CC, iii) Adobe After Effects, iv) Adobe Premiere
